Artist's Description

The famine ship Jeanie Johnson leaving Blennerhaset, Co. Kerry for Quebec, Canada.

This painting is now hanging in the Irish Ambassadors Residence in Otawa.

The replica of the ship itself is now a major tourist attraction permanently moored in the river Liffey near the Custom House in Dublin.
