This replica of the original Dunbrody Famine ship was built locally some years ago. She has sailed in the Cutty sark tallships festival out of Waterford but she is now berthed permanently as a tourist attraction on the quayside in New Ross. The original ship is thought to have brought John F.Kennedy'sancestral family to America in the 1800s. His ancestors lived within one days walking distance , in Dunganstown, just south of New Ross.
