Artist's Description

Welcome to the home of the Galway Hookers. the traditional timber work boats have plied the western Galway sea board for centuries when there was no road access to the greater part of the counties hinterland and also the many islands such as the Aran Islands.
Nowadays there has been a big revival in their use for pleasure and racing.
