Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

In around 800ad St Brendan the Navigator sailed from Ireland to Canada in a leather and timber boat. His journey has been well recorded and was major feat of endurance at that time. In 1976 Tim Severin re enacted the same voyage with a similar leather covered boat and proved that the journey from Coonecrome Harbour near Caherciveen to Newfoundland made by Brendan was possible. On the bottom right is shown the Boighter Gold boat dating from the same period and now in the National Museum of Ireland.
